Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze stated that President Salome Zourabichvili is currently experiencing a grave psychological condition. He remarked during a briefing at the Government Administration that Zourabichvili has only “two Fridays left” in office, with her presidential inauguration scheduled in two weeks, at which point she will be required to step down from her post.

Kobakhidze further described Zourabichvili as a “tragic personality” who, he claims, was forced into the service of ‘external forces’ in the past, leading to her eventual downfall. The Prime Minister referred to the fate of ‘political agents’ as invariably tragic, citing examples of former Georgian politicians such as Giorgi Gakharia and Tamar Chugoshvili, who he claims followed a similar path.

“In the past, we had to oppose Salome Zourabichvili, making objective assessments of her. But now, I must tell you in a different tone – she is simply a tragic person. She entered the service of external forces many years ago and has now found herself in the same position for a second time. The fate of agents is always tragic,” said Kobakhidze.

The Prime Minister expressed sympathy for Zourabichvili as she prepares to leave office, emphasizing the harsh fate faced by individuals who align with foreign influences. “We can only express our sympathy toward her now as she leaves office,” he added.
