Kobakhidze said that peace was the “foundation of foundations” for national development

Irakli Kobakhidze, Prime Minister of Georgia, has stressed the need for constant vigilance and caution to ensure peace and stability in the country, in light of recent developments in the Middle East.

Speaking at a government meeting on Thursday, Kobakhidze said that peace was the “foundation of foundations” for national development and that the government would continue to take all necessary measures to safeguard it.

“Once again, we must respond to developments in the Middle East. These events remind us of the great importance of peace. In this extremely challenging environment surrounding our country, it is naturally necessary to maintain constant attention and caution to ensure that peace is firmly secured in Georgia,” he said.

The Prime Minister added that the government would continue to prioritise stability and the country’s development, taking all steps required to maintain a secure and peaceful environment.
