Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze has underlined his government’s “commitment to European integration” during talks with European leaders at the European Political Community (EPC) summit in Copenhagen.
Speaking to Georgian journalists on Thursday, Kobakhidze said his meetings focused on “national interests and our vision of how to move forward on the path of European integration,” describing it as one of Georgia’s top foreign policy priorities.
The PM is taking part in the 7th EPC conference, where he will join a panel discussion on Europe’s economic interests. The debate will cover connectivity, energy, and access to critical minerals - areas in which Kobakhidze said Georgia had “serious potential,” particularly as a transit hub.
“We had an interesting exchange of ideas with European leaders yesterday and will continue to actively use this format today to speak about our national interests with our European partners,” he added.
The EPC summit brings together heads of state and government from across Europe to discuss common challenges, including security, energy, and economic cooperation.
