Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze on Saturday said hosting an International Real Estate Forum in the country was further proof that Georgia is steadily strengthening its position on the regional investment map.

Addressing the Forum dedicated to real estate issues, Kobakhidze described the event as “highly important” and noted that its organisation in Georgia underscored international interest in the country as an investment destination.

The Prime Minister said that despite global and regional challenges, Georgia had managed to maintain a “high pace” of economic growth, adding the Government would do everything to sustain the trend.

“Despite very serious global and regional difficulties, Georgia has managed to maintain a high rate of economic growth. Over the past five years, Georgia ranked first on the European continent and in the region in terms of economic growth. In 2021–2025, our country’s average economic growth reached 9.3 per cent. Once again, this is the number one indicator on our continent,” Kobakhidze said.

He also pointed to forecasts by the International Monetary Fund, which project that Georgia will continue to rank first in terms of economic growth in the wider region and across Europe in the medium term.

“It is our duty to support the continuation of this established trend, and the Government of Georgia will do everything to ensure this,” the Prime Minister added.
