Prime Minister of Georgia Irakli Kobakhidze met with President of the United Arab Emirates Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan during his visit to Abu Dhabi.

According to the Government Administration, the meeting focused on the positive dynamics in the development of bilateral relations between Georgia and the UAE, supported by close political ties. In this context, the parties highlighted the special significance of the UAE President’s official visit to Georgia last year.

The sides discussed opportunities to deepen cooperation in trade, economic, and investment spheres. Particular emphasis was placed on the importance of the “historic” USD 6.6 billion investment by Eagle Hills in Georgia, as well as the role of the Tbilisi Dry Port project, implemented with UAE investment.

The meeting also noted the successful operations of other major UAE-backed investment companies in Georgia.

The talks were held within the framework of the Georgian Prime Minister’s visit to the Abu Dhabi Sustainability Week Summit. The meeting was attended by Foreign Minister Maka Botchorishvili, Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development Mariam Kvrivishvili, Minister of Environmental Protection and Agriculture Davit Songulashvili, Minister of Justice Paata Salia, and Head of the Government Administration Levan Zhorzholiani.
