Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze has defended the government’s anti-corruption record, saying multiple concrete steps had been taken to eliminate misconduct in public administration and improve accountability.
Speaking at a government meeting on Friday, Kobakhidze said that all government acts were publicly accessible, and citizens were free to raise concerns if they detected any irregularities.
“Many specific steps have been taken to eradicate corruption in the country. The government’s work is fully transparent and every act is available to anyone,” he stated. “If anyone sees any sign of wrongdoing in any act, they can approach us with questions - and all questions will receive answers.”
The prime minister also thanked Infrastructure Minister Revaz Sokhadze for efforts to correct problematic projects and establish new standards to ensure the quality of infrastructure across the country.
“Results are already visible and will become even more evident,” Kobakhidze said, describing improved infrastructure oversight as a priority alongside the anti-corruption agenda.
He reiterated that transparency will remain a guiding principle of government policy moving forward.
