Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze criticized a recent Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe (PACE) resolution, saying it reflected the “difficult situation” within European bureaucracy and constitutes “another attack on the Georgian people.”
Speaking at a government briefing on Friday, Kobakhidze dismissed the resolution as “largely meaningless” and questioned the motivations of European officials, specifically citing MEP Lisa Yasko.
“This resolution once again demonstrates the difficult situation created today in European bureaucracy. Some of its provisions cannot withstand criticism. It is another attack on the Georgian people and a reflection of the state of affairs in the European bureaucracy. Therefore, such resolutions hold no real value. As for Lisa Yasko, she clearly has subjective interests, which explains her active involvement,” Kobakhidze said.
