Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze has met Sonata Coulter, the Deputy Assistant Secretary of State overseeing Russia, the Caucasus, and European Security and Political Affairs, to discuss bilateral relations between Georgia and the United States.

Kobakhidze reaffirmed the government’s readiness to reset relations with Washington and renew the countries’ strategic partnership “from a clean slate” through a concrete roadmap focused on achieving tangible results, the government press office said on Thursday.

The meeting also placed particular emphasis on regional connectivity and Georgia’s role in the Middle Corridor, the strategic transit route linking Europe and Asia through the South Caucasus.
