Georgian PM meets US Senator to discuss ‘resetting ties’

Addressing domestic matters, the Prime Minister claimed that political stability had been secured and asserted that his administration remained the guarantor of continued order in the country.

Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze met on Friday with US Senator Steve Daines, a member of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee, in Tbilisi.
The government administration said the discussions centred on the future of US-Georgia relations, Georgia’s regional role, and ongoing political developments within the country.
Kobakhidze reiterated his government’s commitment to "resetting" ties with the United States and expressed readiness to establish a “renewed strategic partnership based on a defined roadmap, aimed at delivering tangible results" for both nations.
The talks also highlighted Georgia’s importance in maintaining regional peace and stability. Kobakhidze emphasised the country’s growing transit potential and its ability to serve as a gateway to multi-million-dollar markets, underscoring opportunities for international partners, the press office said.
