Prime Minister of Georgia Irakli Kobakhidze said the government was ready to renew its strategic partnership with the United States from a “clean slate,” based on a clear and concrete roadmap.
Speaking to journalists in Dubai, Kobakhidze was asked to comment on a recent meeting between Georgian Deputy Foreign Minister Lasha Darsalia and US Assistant Secretary of State Brendan Hanrahan.
Kobakhidze claimed Georgia’s position remained consistent and transparent.
“Our message was the same as we have stated publicly: we want to renew the strategic partnership from a clean slate, with a concrete roadmap. This is our openly extended hand,” Kobakhidze said.
He noted that Georgia was patiently awaiting a response from the US side and expressed optimism regarding future developments.
“We are waiting patiently for a reciprocal response and hope that such a response will come from the American side. This is our optimistic expectation. As for the rest, we will see how events unfold,” the Prime Minister added.
Kobakhidze emphasized that the Georgian government remained committed to constructive dialogue and believed that a renewed partnership framework could help restore and strengthen bilateral relations moving forward.
