Georgia is prioritising a “reset” of its relations with the United States, Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze has said, stressing the importance of renewing the strategic partnership “from a clean slate.”

Speaking to journalists on Friday, Kobakhidze noted that both he and other officials had made multiple public statements on the issue.

“This is a very clear message. We are awaiting reciprocal steps and hope that these will be taken,” the prime minister said, emphasising Georgia’s desire for constructive engagement with Washington.
