PM Kobakhidze meets Azerbaijani defence minister in Tbilisi

Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze has met Azerbaijan's Defence Minister Zakir Hasanov to discuss bilateral ties and regional security issues.

According to the Georgian government administration, the talks focused on bilateral, regional and international cooperation.

Both sides highlighted the strategic partnership between Georgia and Azerbaijan, as well as ongoing cooperation in the defence sector.

The importance of peace and stability in the region was also discussed during the meeting.

Georgia's Deputy Prime Minister and Defence Minister Irakli Chikovani attended the talks.
