Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze met with Masato Kanda, President of the Asian Development Bank (ADB), to discuss the continued fruitful collaboration between the Georgian government and ADB.
The meeting highlighted the importance of ADB as one of Georgia’s most reliable partners in supporting the country’s economic sectors, the government press office said on Friday.
The discussion focused on ADB’s investment portfolio in Georgia, which exceeds $5 billion USD across both public and private sectors.
The investments fund programs targeting tourism infrastructure, water supply, transport connectivity, energy, and regional and municipal development.
The opening of ADB’s new office in Tbilisi was also noted as a “clear indicator” of the long-term partnership between Georgia and the Bank, the press office added.
