PM Kobakhidze inspects upgrades at Batumi International Airport

The government administration said the general manager of TAV Georgia - a member of the ADP Group which operates Tbilisi and Batumi international airports - had briefed PM Kobakhidze on completed works and upcoming plans

Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze has inspected recently completed and ongoing infrastructure projects at Batumi International Airport, accompanied by Economy and Sustainable Development Minister Mariam Kvrivishvili and the head of the Government of the Autonomous Republic of Adjara, Sulkhan Tamazashvili.
The government administration said the general manager of TAV Georgia - a member of the ADP Group which operates Tbilisi and Batumi international airports - had briefed Kobakhidze on completed works and upcoming plans.
TAV Georgia’s Tea Zakaradze said this year the airport completed rehabilitation of its runway, doubled the number of aircraft parking stands, and purchased new equipment.
To increase passenger capacity, plans for this year include expanding the passenger reception area and the passport control zone in the arrivals hall, she added.
The company has invested 25 million lari in Batumi International Airport infrastructure over the past year.
