The Government Administration said on Monday  Khamashuridze previously served as Georgia’s ambassador to Estonia

Georgia’s Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze has met with the country’s newly appointed ambassador to Bulgaria, Zurab Khamashuridze, congratulating him on his appointment and wishing him success in his diplomatic role.

The Government Administration said on Monday  Khamashuridze previously served as Georgia’s ambassador to Estonia. He has also held senior positions within the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, including director of the EU Integration Department, as well as ambassadorial roles in Belgium and to the European Union. Earlier in his career, he led departments responsible for Georgia’s relations with the Council of Europe and the OSCE.
