Georgia’s PM to visit Shanghai at invitation of Chinese counterpart

The visit will include a bilateral meeting between Kobakhidze and Li Qiang to discuss cooperation and relations between the two countries, the press office said

Georgia’s Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze will travel to Shanghai at the invitation of China’s Premier Li Qiang, the government press office announced on Monday.
The visit will include a bilateral meeting between Kobakhidze and Li Qiang to discuss cooperation and relations between the two countries, the press office said.
Kobakhidze will also attend the opening ceremony of the China International Import Expo (CIIE), where Georgia has been granted the status of Guest of Honour this year. More than 40 Georgian companies are expected to participate, showcasing national products and investment opportunities to one of the world’s largest consumer markets.
The Prime Minister is accompanied by a high-level delegation, including Foreign Minister Maka Botchorishvili, Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development Mariam Kvrivishvili, Minister of Environmental Protection and Agriculture Davit Songulashvili, Finance Minister Lasha Khutsishvili, Infrastructure Minister Revaz Sokhadze, National Bank President Natia Turnava, and Head of the Government Administration Levan Zhorzholiani.
