Georgia is positioning itself as a strategic hub rather than a peripheral player, Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze told Euronews in a recent interview.
He said the country’s role was expanding rapidly amid global supply chain shifts, with Georgia at the heart of the Middle Corridor linking European and Asian markets.
“Our government is making bold investments to fulfil this role,” Kobakhidze said, highlighting the Anaklia deep-sea port [in the country’s west], upgrades to transport and logistics networks, and Georgia’s potential as a green energy exporter.
“In an era when Europe seeks strategic autonomy, energy diversification and stronger connectivity, Georgia stands as a central hub. We invite the international community to invest, to partner with us, and to recognise the reliability we have earned through consistency and effective governance,” he added.
