Georgia’s Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze has highlighted the country’s commitment to strengthening political and economic cooperation with the United Arab Emirates during a meeting with UAE President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan.

“Your visit to Georgia is a clear expression of your interest in our country, which we greatly appreciate,” Kobakhidze said. “Today is a day of particular significance for us. For the first time, we are hosting a UAE delegation led by the President, which is a great honour.”

The PM further stressed the strong existing ties between the two countries, describing the relationship as having “very good momentum” with close political and economic cooperation.

“We are fully committed to deepening collaboration and partnership in all areas. We are also pleased that several major UAE companies are actively operating in Georgia, with four large firms successfully conducting business here. Under your leadership, we have signed a key investment agreement involving Eagle Hills and EMAAR, enabling further economic activity in Georgia,” he added.

Kobakhidze also underlined the importance of ongoing projects, including the development of a dry port in Tbilisi, and expressed confidence that such initiatives will continue to expand and strengthen ties between the two countries in both political and economic spheres.

“Your visit lays a solid foundation for continued productive cooperation in all directions. Once again, I would like to sincerely thank you for coming to Georgia. This day is of special significance for our country and for each of us,” he concluded.
