PM on mayoral candidate : "We present not just politician, but true champion – Kakha Kaladze"

At the launch of the ruling party’s election campaign on July 31, ruling Georgian Dream chairman and Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze introduced incumbent mayor Kakha Kaladze as the party’s candidate for a third term in Tbilisi.

“We could have presented a good politician, a capable manager, or a devoted patriot — but today, we are presenting a true champion, in every sense of the word,” Kobakhidze declared.

He praised Kaladze, a former footballer, as a national figure who has brought Georgia major victories, both in sports and in public service. “He is a champion politician, a champion family man, a loyal friend, and a steadfast teammate,” the prime minister said.

Kobakhidze emphasized Kaladze's ability to bring more life, order, and beauty to every corner of the capital, highlighting his vision for a greener, more vibrant Tbilisi.

Calling him “Tbilisi’s most successful mayor of all time,” Kobakhidze concluded:
“It’s an honor to introduce, on behalf of the Georgian Dream team, the man whom any European capital would envy as its mayor – Kakha Kaladze.”
