Georgia and Hungary’s shared values strengthen ties, PM Kobakhidze

Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze highlighted the shared values between Georgia and Hungary as a cornerstone of their strong partnership and friendship during the Georgia-Hungary Intergovernmental Summit in Budapest.
Expressing his gratitude for Hungary’s unwavering support, Kobakhidze personally thanked Prime Minister Viktor Orbán and the Hungarian government for their consistent backing of Georgia in all areas.
“It is a great honor for us to be here today,” Kobakhidze said. “First and foremost, I would like to thank you for your warm hospitality and the organization of this summit. Your leadership in guiding Hungary, safeguarding its national interests, and preserving its identity is exemplary to us. From our perspective, we are connected by shared values, and this unity of values is what strengthens our partnership and friendship.”
He extended particular thanks for Hungary’s support of Georgia’s sovereignty and territorial integrity, as well as its backing of Georgia’s European integration efforts. Kobakhidze noted that Hungary played a crucial role in Georgia securing EU candidate status and continues to be a vital partner as Georgia advances toward EU membership.
“Therefore, once again, I want to extend my deep gratitude to you, Prime Minister, and to the entire Hungarian government for protecting Georgia’s interests on the international stage,” he said.
Kobakhidze also emphasized the close political cooperation between Georgia and Hungary, citing frequent meetings and the importance of deepening this collaboration. “The summit format is an excellent opportunity to further strengthen and develop our bilateral ties,” he concluded.
