Georgia’s Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze has underlined the significance of the country’s cooperation with the Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe (OSCE), ahead of a planned visit by Finland’s Foreign Minister, who is arriving under OSCE auspices.

“The meeting is scheduled for tomorrow, and we will discuss all relevant topics. Cooperation with the OSCE has been important and valuable to us, and we have safeguarded it over the years. It was particularly significant for us that the OSCE/ODIHR issued a positive assessment regarding the elections. Because of this, the OSCE faced attacks not only from domestic radical opposition but also from their foreign patrons. We will once again reaffirm our commitment to OSCE cooperation. Our goal is to continue and further strengthen this partnership, and we will be fully transparent in this regard,” Kobakhidze told journalists.

The Prime Minister further stressed that Georgia intended to actively engage with the OSCE and maintain openness in all areas of collaboration, framing the partnership as a key component of the country’s democratic and international commitments.
