On the occasion of Police Day, Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze expressed his gratitude to firefighters and rescuers, recognizing them as widely respected and trusted figures in society.

Speaking at the celebratory event dedicated to the holiday, the Prime Minister highlighted their unwavering readiness to protect fellow citizens, even at the cost of their own lives.

“This dedication was evident again this year, during the natural disaster in western Georgia, where firefighters and rescuers went to great lengths to care for the affected citizens,” said Kobakhidze.

He emphasized the government’s ongoing commitment to strengthening the Ministry of Internal Affairs, modernizing its equipment, and improving social conditions for its personnel.

“Our goal is to create an environment where every police officer feels secure, motivated, and even more valued. Together, we will build an even safer and more just state where the rule of law and the well-being of our citizens are the highest priorities,” he stated.

Kobakhidze expressed pride in the police force and reaffirmed the government’s support for their work.

“We stand proud with you, proud of the Georgian police, and proud of every heroic officer. I am confident that you will continue to uphold the highest standards and remain a steadfast pillar of safety and justice for our country. Once again, congratulations on Police Day! I wish you peace, health, and success in this challenging but truly honorable mission,” Kobakhidze concluded.
