During his speech at the United Nations Conference, Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze announced that Georgia has been ranked among the world’s top three “fully business-ready” countries by the World Bank’s newly released assessment — alongside global leaders Singapore and Estonia.

“Our efforts are now internationally recognized,” Kobakhidze stated. “It is a source of pride that Georgia is seen as a global leader in regulatory quality, public service efficiency, and responsiveness.”

According to the Prime Minister, Georgia holds the third-lowest tax burden in the world, with a rate of just 9.9%, and continues to lead Eastern Europe and Central Asia in the Rule of Law Index.

“We’ve created a business environment that is corruption-free, technologically advanced, and trustworthy in terms of corporate governance,” Kobakhidze added.

He also emphasized Georgia’s vision of becoming a multifunctional, multi-directional hub, supported by massive infrastructure projects that strengthen the country’s role as a strategic link between Europe and Asia. Among the key initiatives mentioned were:

- The East-West Highway

- The Baku-Tbilisi-Kars Railway

- The Anaklia Deep Sea Port

- Dry ports across the country

“These projects enhance Georgia’s connectivity, open up markets, reduce transit costs, and integrate our economy into the global system—not just for Georgia but for the entire region,” Kobakhidze said.

He reiterated that Georgia aims not just to be a transport corridor but a value-creating logistics and production hub—developing capabilities in warehousing, processing, assembly, and distribution, turning Georgia into a vital part of regional and global value chains.

“This model creates jobs, delivers tangible benefits to landlocked partners, and builds a win-win ecosystem where improved efficiency benefits all participants in regional trade,” Kobakhidze concluded.
