Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze on Friday said the Government’s main principle is to ensure state services are as accessible to citizens as possible, speaking at the opening of a new Public Service Hall in Khelvachauri in the country’s Adjara region.
The Prime Minister said the new facility is the ninth Public Service Hall in Adjara and will allow both local residents and visitors to receive services in modern infrastructure and under high service standards.
Kobakhidze noted demand for services provided by the Public Service Hall in the region is high, with more than 700,000 users annually. He added that a mobile Public Service Hall also operates in the region, delivering services directly to dozens of villages.
“This is our main principle – that state services should be as close to citizens as possible. The Public Service Hall operates exactly according to this principle,” Kobakhidze said.
He also noted that in 2012 only 11 Public Service Halls operated across the country, while today services are available at 127 locations, serving more than 20,000 people daily. The Prime Minister said new spaces will soon open in several cities and settlements, increasing the total number of branches to 132.
Kobakhidze said that around 500 services are currently available through the Public Service Hall, with plans to double this number in the near future, expanding access to both public and private sector services. He added that modern technologies are being introduced and that the use of artificial intelligence is also planned within the system.
