Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze has stated that his government’s primary goal is to prevent a repeat of Ukraine’s Maidan revolution in Georgia and avoid opening a second front in the region.

Speaking to Georgian journalists in Dubai, Kobakhidze dismissed any possibility of unrest in Georgia, stressing that the country will not follow Ukraine’s path toward revolution and conflict.

“For years, we have emphasized the importance of preventing the ‘Ukrainization’ of Georgia. Now, when representatives of certain countries openly discuss the Maidan scenario, it raises serious questions. Georgia will not experience Maidan, nor will it undergo ‘Ukrainization’. We have seen what the revolution, Maidan, and the war that followed have brought to our friend, Ukraine. Our main effort must be directed at ensuring that such a scenario never unfolds in Georgia,” Kobakhidze stated.

He further alleged that certain external forces had long sought to ignite a second front in Georgia and that some still pursue this goal today.
