Prime Minister of Georgia and Chairman of the ruling Georgian Dream party, Irakli Kobakhidze, officially launched the party’s campaign for the upcoming local elections and presented the main candidate for Mayor of Tbilisi.
During the campaign event, Kobakhidze expressed gratitude to the Georgian people for their support in the October 26, 2024, parliamentary elections, calling the vote a “referendum-like” decision in favor of peace, dignity, and development.
“On this beautiful and peaceful evening, we must first thank the Georgian people for the trust they showed on October 26 last year. It was an election equal to a referendum, where society chose peace, dignity, and development,” he said.
According to Kobakhidze, that victory gave the government the opportunity to shift full focus toward the development of every municipality, city, and village across the country.
“In the next four years, we must bring more life and more good to every corner of Georgia. Peace for Georgia, prosperity for Tbilisi, and growth for every region – this is our mission, and with the support of society, we will surely fulfill it,” Kobakhidze concluded.
