Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze has wished applicants success as the country's unified national university entrance examinations get under way.
In a statement on Thursday, Kobakhidze said educated young people were the foundation of Georgia's future and encouraged candidates ahead of the examinations.
"Dear applicants, today the national examinations begin. I would like to wish you every success at this important stage of your lives. I am confident that your years of hard work and dedication will produce the results you deserve," he said.
"I believe you will successfully pass each examination, bringing you closer to your goals. Educated young people are the guarantee of building our country and securing a better future. It is you who will one day take responsibility for leading this country. Once again, I sincerely wish you every success and the very best results," the prime minister added.
