The internationally renowned brand Napoleon is set to enter the Georgian market through a partnership between the local winery Kachreti and one of France’s most traditional distilleries, Tessendier & Fils.
The launch event took place on Wednesday at the Kachreti wine and cognac factory, with Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze, Parliament Speaker Shalva Papuashvili, and members of the government and parliament in attendance.
Speaking at the event, Kobakhidze described the collaboration as a sign of foreign investor confidence in Georgia’s business environment and state institutions. “We are proud of our winemaking traditions. Georgia is a historical center of viticulture, and France is the birthplace of cognac. This partnership will create a unique synergy, delivering high-quality products in Georgia,” he said.
The PM added that the government would continue to facilitate cooperation with foreign companies.
Other speakers at the event included Minister of Environmental Protection and Agriculture David Songulashvili, Tessendier & Fils executive director Jérôme Tessendier, and Kachreti winery director Natia Karichashvili.
