Georgian PM meets OSCE Secretary General at Antalya Forum, reaffirms commitment to democratic principles

Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze on Friday met with OSCE Secretary General Feridun Sinirlioğlu on the sidelines of the Antalya Diplomacy Forum, where the two officials discussed democratic reforms, international cooperation and Georgia’s bid to chair the organisation in 2027.
The Georgian Government Administration said Kobakhidze thanked Sinirlioğlu for the organisation’s support and reaffirmed the Government’s commitment to democratic principles, human rights protection and the rule of law.
The meeting also highlighted the importance of international cooperation and engagement in multilateral formats, particularly amid growing geopolitical challenges.
Kobakhidze reiterated Georgia’s readiness for open dialogue with international partners and noted that the country remains a committed and active participant in the OSCE.
The parties also discussed Georgia’s declared intention to assume the OSCE chairmanship in 2027, with hope expressed that participating states would support the country’s candidacy.
