Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze on Wednesday claimed individuals representing the radical opposition were invited to the Euronest Parliamentary Assembly “under the guise of NGOs”.

Speaking to Georgian journalists in China, Kobakhidze said the participation of the Georgian delegation in such circumstances would have been “completely irrational”.

“It is a fact that radical opposition representatives were invited to Euronest under the NGO label. This, again, reflects the approach of the European bureaucracy and we can only express regret about it. Naturally, it is very difficult to build constructive relations with certain EU officials under such conditions”, the Prime Minister said.
