Georgian Prime Minister to address UN conference in Turkmenistan

Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze will participate in a United Nations conference hosted by Turkmenistan in the city of Awaza.

According to the government administration, Kobakhidze is scheduled to deliver a speech at the conference on August 5. In his remarks, he is expected to highlight Georgia’s strategic location and its role as a vital corridor connecting East and West. He will emphasize Georgia’s importance in offering connectivity opportunities to eight landlocked countries in the region.

During the visit, Prime Minister Kobakhidze will hold bilateral meetings with Turkmen President Serdar Berdimuhamedov and UN Secretary-General António Guterres.

The Prime Minister is accompanied by a high-level delegation that includes Foreign Minister Maka Botchorishvili, Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development Mariam Kvrivishvili, and Head of the Government Administration Levan Zhorzholiani.
