Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze on Monday said peace and stability are among the core principles shared by Georgia and China, describing China as “a global, peaceful superpower” committed to international cooperation and stability.
Speaking at an event marking the conclusion of Chinese Ambassador Zhou Qian’s diplomatic mission to Georgia, Kobakhidze thanked the Ambassador for his professionalism, dedication and contribution to strengthening bilateral relations.
“In today’s rapidly changing world, peace and stability remain our shared values. Among the principles that unite our countries, peace and stability hold a special place. In this regard, China is a model country - a global, peaceful superpower committed to strengthening international cooperation and stability,” Kobakhidze said.
The Prime Minister also expressed gratitude to the Chinese authorities for their continued support for Georgia’s sovereignty and territorial integrity within its internationally recognised borders.
The event also marked the 99th anniversary of the founding of the Chinese People’s Liberation Army, with Kobakhidze highlighting the role of professional armed forces in safeguarding national sovereignty, security and stability.
