Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze on Sunday met with newly appointed Ambassador to Israel Beka Dvali, who will officially assume his duties on July 1.
The Government Administration said the meeting highlighted the longstanding friendship and cooperation between Georgia and Israel.
Kobakhidze congratulated Dvali on his appointment and wished him success in his new role.
Dvali is a career diplomat with many years of experience at Georgia's Ministry of Foreign Affairs. He has served in a number of diplomatic postings abroad, including as Georgia's Ambassador to Australia and South Africa, as well as Minister Plenipotentiary to the United Kingdom and Ireland.
A lawyer by profession, Dvali holds a master's degree from Maastricht University in the Netherlands.
