PM Kobakhidze meets new Georgian Ambassadors to Italy and Kazakhstan

The Prime Minister expressed confidence in the ambassadors’ ability to further strengthen Georgia’s bilateral relations with Italy and Kazakhstan

Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze on Thursday met with the country’s newly appointed ambassadors to Italy and Kazakhstan, congratulating them on their new roles and wishing them success in representing Georgia abroad, the Government press office said.
Tamar Liluashvili has been appointed as Georgia’s Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to the Republic of Italy. She will also serve as Georgia’s Permanent Representative to the United Nations international organisations based in Rome, including the Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO), the International Fund for Agricultural Development (IFAD), and the World Food Programme (WFP).
She most recently served as Georgia’s ambassador to Hungary and previously held the same position in Bulgaria. Her broader career includes extensive service in Georgia’s public sector, the Government press office said.
Levan Diasamidze has been appointed as Georgia’s new Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to the Republic of Kazakhstan. He has served in various roles within the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and at Georgian diplomatic and consular missions abroad. Since 2022, he held the position of ambassador to Moldova.
The Prime Minister expressed confidence in the ambassadors’ ability to further strengthen Georgia’s bilateral relations with Italy and Kazakhstan and to “actively promote” the country’s interests on the international stage.
