Georgian Dream will step up work with young people over next two years, PM

Georgian Prime Minister and Georgian Dream Chairman Irakli Kobakhidze has said the ruling party will intensify its work with young people over the next two years as it seeks to prepare a new generation for future roles in governing the country.

Kobakhidze said he had met the leadership, chairman and board members of Georgian Dream’s youth organisation to discuss meetings held in the regions and the organisation’s future activities.

“Many issues emerged during the meeting, and we also discussed our future plans regarding the activities of the youth organisation. We will work very actively in this area, particularly over the next two years. We have set specific plans, and active work will continue,” Kobakhidze said.

Asked whether young people were interested in becoming involved in political life, Kobakhidze said there was significant interest and stressed the importance of properly planning the party’s work in this area.

“Young people will have to take over the governance of this country in the future. Therefore, it is very important to properly plan our work in this direction,” he said.

Kobakhidze reiterated that Georgian Dream would work actively with young people, particularly over the next two years.
