Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze on Thursday said several hydropower projects in the country were at an advanced stage, while key financial and investment arrangements are still being finalised.

Speaking to journalists, Kobakhidze said the government was actively working on multiple hydropower developments, describing them as strategically important for Georgia’s energy sector.

“We are quite far ahead on specific hydropower projects and are working actively. As for financing sources and where investors’ resources will be allocated, once we consolidate concrete projects, we will share all details with the public,” he said.
