Prime Minister of Georgia, Irakli Kobakhidze, has publicly thanked Giorgi Amilakhvari for his impactful contributions as the Minister of Education, Science, and Youth. Amilakhvari recently announced his resignation to return to the private sector.

Kobakhidze emphasized that under Amilakhvari’s leadership, the ministry implemented key reforms that strengthened the country’s education system.

“I want to express my gratitude to Giorgi Amilakhvari for his productive work as Minister of Education. During his time in office, the ministry introduced numerous important changes. His departure represents a significant loss for the Georgian government and the ruling team,” said the Prime Minister.

Despite his regret over Amilakhvari’s departure, Kobakhidze wished him success in his future endeavors, noting Amilakhvari’s previous success in the private sector before entering politics.

Amilakhvari’s resignation marks a notable transition in the Georgian government ahead of the upcoming October 26 elections.
