Georgia exported a record $1.8 billion worth of agri-food products to 110 countries in 2025, Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze said on Friday while presenting the Government's annual report to Parliament.
The Prime Minister said agri-food exports increased by 10 per cent year-on-year, while exports reached $577 million in the first four months of 2026, up 13.6 per cent compared to the same period last year.
Kobakhidze also said agri-business output grew by nine per cent in 2025 to ₾19.8 billion ($7.49bln).
The Prime Minister highlighted several key agricultural indicators:
Agri-food exports (2025): $1.8 billion to 110 countries (+10%)
Agri-food exports (Jan-Apr 2026): $577 million (+13.6% year-on-year)
Grape harvest (2025): Record 340,000 tonnes
Wine export revenue: $268 million
Wine and spirits export revenue: $550 million
Wine exports (Q1 2026): Up 5% in volume and 7% in value
Kobakhidze said the Government continues to support the agricultural sector through subsidised agricultural loans, crop insurance, the Plant the Future state programme, irrigation infrastructure upgrades and funding for processing and storage facilities.
