In a ceremony held at the State Security Service, Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze expressed gratitude to outgoing Head Grigol Liluashvili for his steadfast leadership during a challenging six years marked by significant difficulties and extraordinary challenges faced by the nation.

Kobakhidze praised Liluashvili for his dignity, professionalism, and integrity in overseeing the critical task of ensuring the country’s security. He acknowledged the vital role that Liluashvili and his deputies played in strengthening the nation’s security framework.

“The past six years were filled with exceptional challenges for our country. In the face of these trying circumstances, Mr. Grigol Liluashvili has led the efforts to secure our nation with great honor, professionalism, and conscientiousness. I would like to extend my deepest gratitude to Mr. Liluashvili for his service and the vital work he has done over the past six years. I also want to thank Mr. Liluashvili’s deputies—Aleksi Batiashvili, Giga Nikoleishvili, Levan Akhobadze, and Shengeli Pitskhelauri—each of whom has contributed significantly to ensuring and further strengthening our country’s security,” Kobakhidze stated.
