PM Kobakhidze: We Will Continue to Support Mountainous Adjara

Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze has pledged that the government will continue to prioritize the development of mountainous Adjara, speaking at the traditional Shuamtoba folk festival in Beshumi.

Addressing participants of the event, Kobakhidze congratulated attendees on the celebration, describing Shuamtoba as a special holiday not only for Adjara and its mountainous communities, but for the whole of Georgia.

“Congratulations to everyone on Shuamtoba, a unique celebration not only for Adjara and mountainous Adjara, but for all of Georgia and every one of us,” the Prime Minister said.

He praised the region for its exceptional natural beauty, rich culture, and traditions, while emphasizing that its greatest asset is its people and their hospitality.

“The greatest wealth of this region is its people, who have a unique ability to share love and joy with others. We feel this every time we visit mountainous Adjara,” Kobakhidze stated.

The Prime Minister also reaffirmed the government’s commitment to the region’s development.

“I want to promise you once again this year that mountainous Adjara will continue to receive our care and support. The region is developing year by year, but there is still more to be done, and that is our responsibility. On behalf of the government, I assure you that we will continue to care for this remarkable region and its wonderful people,” Kobakhidze said.
