Georgian PM congratulates Muslim community on Eid al-Adha

Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze on Wednesday congratulated the country’s Muslim community on the occasion of Eid al-Adha, also known as Qurban Bayram.

In a statement, Kobakhidze described the holiday as a celebration of kindness, solidarity and hope, while highlighting Georgia’s long history of coexistence among different religious communities.

“Our centuries-old brotherly coexistence and respect for each other’s traditions and culture are a treasure on which the strong future of our country is built,” the Prime Minister said.

He also wished Muslim families peace, prosperity and happiness as they celebrate the holiday.
