Georgian PM: fruitful meeting with Council of Europe Secretary General

Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze on Thursday said he held a “fruitful meeting” with Council of Europe Secretary General Alain Berset on the sidelines of the European Political Community Summit in Copenhagen.

In a post on X, Kobakhidze noted that he reaffirmed Georgia’s strong commitment to the development of democracy during the discussion.

“In Copenhagen, within the European Political Community Summit, I had a fruitful meeting with the Secretary General of the Council of Europe, Alain Berset. I once again reaffirmed Georgia’s firm commitment to the development of democracy and emphasised the importance of close cooperation with the Council of Europe in supporting reforms on the path of European integration,” Kobakhidze wrote.
