Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze on Saturday announced that in October, a lawsuit will be filed with Georgia’s Constitutional Court seeking to declare unconstitutional all political parties that fall under what he described as the collective United National Movement.

He added the move was part of a democratic process.

“In October, a corresponding lawsuit will be filed with the Constitutional Court regarding the unconstitutional status of all parties considered to be under the collective United National Movement. This is a democratic process, and the lawsuit will certainly be submitted to the Court,” the Prime Minister told journalists.
