Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze has departed for an official visit to Tajikistan, the Government Administration said on Friday.
An official welcoming ceremony will be held at Dushanbe International Airport, where the Georgian prime minister will be received by Tajik Prime Minister Kokhir Rasulzoda.
During the visit, Kobakhidze is scheduled to hold both one-on-one and expanded-format talks with his Tajik counterpart, focusing on bilateral cooperation and issues of mutual interest.
The Georgian prime minister will also be hosted at the Presidential Palace by Tajik President Emomali Rahmon. Following their meeting, the two leaders are expected to make joint statements to the media.
As part of the official program, Kobakhidze will also meet with the Speaker of the Assembly of Representatives of Tajikistan's Supreme Assembly.
The prime minister is accompanied by a high-level delegation that includes Vice Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Maka Botchorishvili, Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development Mariam Kvrivishvili, Minister of Environmental Protection and Agriculture David Songulashvili, Minister of Education, Science and Youth Givi Mikanadze, Minister of Culture Tinatin Rukhadze, and Head of the Government Administration Levan Zhorzholiani.
