Kobakhidze said similar opposition alliances have been created and dissolved multiple times

Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze has downplayed a newly announced opposition initiative to form a joint political platform, describing it as a recurring and ineffective political arrangement.

Speaking to journalists, Kobakhidze said similar opposition alliances have been created and dissolved multiple times in the past, suggesting that the latest attempt lacked substance or political relevance.

“This so-called opposition unity is not interesting at all. It is probably the tenth so-called unity they have created, which they then dismantle. How many times are they going to repeat this?” he said.

The prime minister argued that the repeated formation and collapse of such groupings reflected what he described as a “serious crisis” within the opposition landscape in Georgia.
