Georgian PM lays foundation for Dream City project in Batumi

Prime Minister of Georgia, Irakli Kobakhidze, participated in a symbolic capsule-laying ceremony in Batumi to mark the beginning of the Dream City construction project. He emphasized that the initiative is not just about building residential complexes but creating a comprehensive living environment for citizens.

“This project is about developing a full-fledged residential space. Our citizens need more than just housing—they need schools, kindergartens, recreational areas, and other infrastructure,” Kobakhidze stated.

The next phase of the project will include the construction of a school, a kindergarten, recreational zones, and other facilities aimed at enhancing the quality of life for residents. According to the Prime Minister, this initiative will also contribute significantly to Batumi’s development by improving infrastructure, boosting the local economy, and generating new jobs.

“I want to thank everyone involved in the successful completion of the first phase—project authors, architects, engineers, builders, and all technical staff. Their professionalism has played a crucial role in the project’s success. I also extend my gratitude to the government of the Autonomous Republic of Adjara for their contribution,” Kobakhidze said.

The second phase of the “Dream City” project is expected to be completed by 2028.
