Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze, accompanied by his children, visited the Catholicos-Patriarch of All Georgia, His Holiness and Beatitude Ilia II, at the Patriarchate.

According to the government administration, the Patriarch blessed the Prime Minister and his children during the visit.

“The Prime Minister expressed gratitude to His Holiness for his decades of dedicated service,” the statement read.

Kobakhidze praised the Patriarch’s wisdom, noting that it had strengthened both the Georgian Orthodox Church and the faith of the Georgian people. He added that safeguarding Georgia’s religious identity and Christian values remained one of the key pillars of the nation’s strength.
