Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze on Tuesday met with Ermek Kosherbayev, Foreign Minister of Kazakhstan, to discuss expanding bilateral cooperation and deepening strategic ties between the two nations.

The meeting covered a broad range of successful collaborative efforts, providing a strong foundation for further strategic partnership in multiple sectors, the government press office said.

Officials focused on the growing dynamics of trade and economic cooperation, noting that Kazakhstan remained one of Georgia’s most significant and stable trading partners in Central Asia.

The discussion also included opportunities for increased Kazakh investments in key areas of the Georgian economy, including logistics, energy, tourism, and agriculture.

The leaders examined the potential of the Middle Corridor, highlighting the importance of joint initiatives to strengthen Georgia’s role as a regional transit hub and enhance connectivity across the wider region.

While no new agreements were formally announced, both sides reaffirmed their commitment to continued collaboration and stressed the strategic significance of expanding economic and infrastructural ties.
