Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze has criticized recent comments made by French President Emmanuel Macron regarding Russia’s alleged influence in Georgia.

In a statement to journalists, Kobakhidze emphasized the “severe situation” in Ukraine, asserting that the country had already been “doomed to destruction” due to the ongoing conflict with Russia.

“The French President should look at Ukraine, which has been doomed to destruction,” Kobakhidze said, in response to questions about Macron’s recent comments. He further argued that the international community, particularly Western nations, were focusing too heavily on Russia’s potential future interventions in neighboring countries while overlooking the “ongoing catastrophe” in Ukraine.
