Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze has accused the US Helsinki Commission of actively promoting what he described as a so-called “deep state” agenda, citing Georgia as a clear example of this alleged influence.
Speaking to journalists in Dubai on Thursday, Kobakhidze said the Helsinki Commission had been used in the United States as a key instrument working against Georgia’s national interests. The official also claimed recent information emerging in the US has shed light on these processes.
“Georgia’s case clearly demonstrates what is happening within the Helsinki Commission. It was used as a main tool against Georgia’s interests, with specific individuals, including Wilson, involved in these actions. Recent disclosures in the United States have revealed these dynamics,” Kobakhidze said.
He added that the Commission continued to act in line with what he termed a “deep state” approach, arguing that this trend was increasingly visible through developments related to Georgia.
